HOUSTON — For the Jewish community, finding a restaurant that accommodates their dietary laws can be hard, let alone finding a good one. However, that's not true in Houston. Here we have five great places for you to try.
1. Taste of Tel Aviv/TLV Sushi
Located at 9804 Hillcroft St., Taste of Tel Aviv is open from Sunday to Thursday from 11.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. and on Friday from 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
Established in 2004, they serve traditional Jewish and Middle-Eastern food. Since this year, the restaurant began to include more vegetarian-friendly options. As the name implies, you can also find sushi here.

2. Saba's Restaurant
Opened in 2001, family-owned Saba's Restaurant is Houston's oldest kosher restaurant. Since its opening, the restaurant has been expanding its repertoire to include more and more kosher products. The restaurant now serves a wide range of menus ranging from sushi to pizza.
Saba's is located at 9704 Fondren Rd. They are open from Sunday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. In terms of traditional Jewish cuisines, this is definitely the place to go.

3. Saba's Grill and Wok
Similar name, different place. Don't confuse this Saba with the one above. This one is located at 5413 S Braeswood Blvd. and usually opens from 11 a.m. every day except Saturdays.
Established in 2017, Saba's Grill and Wok is a sister company of Saba's Restaurant above, hence the name. The restaurant is Glatt Kosher certified by the Houston Kashruth Association (HKA) and Mehadrin Kashrus of Texas (MKT). They offer traditional kosher Mediterranean, Chinese, and many other Asiatic cuisines.

4. Dino's Middle Eastern Cuisine
With its 15 years of experience, Dino's Middle Eastern Cuisine has been serving kosher authentic traditional Middle Eastern dishes. From simple street snacks such as falafel and schnitzel to the more delicate ones such as mafrum and couscous, all of their food uses spices imported from the Middle East and the Mediterranean region.
Located at 9419 Glenfield Ct., they are open from Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.

5. Genesis Steakhouse & Wine Bar
Genesis Steakhouse & Wine Bar was established in 2014. It is located at 80 Braeswood Square. They are open on Sundays from 1.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., from Monday to Thursday from 12.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., and on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant is also Glatt Kosher certified by the Houston Kashruth Association (HKA) and Mehadrin Kashrus of Texas (MKT).
