Is there anything more magical than a park full of food trucks on a Friday night? Food Truck Friday is back - and it kicks off tomorrow, June 4th in Idlewild Park at 4pm.
Here’s what to expect: A lot of food. Food from so many unique, delicious, and skillful local venders, restaurants, chefs and foodies. Food from just about every ethnic and cultural background you can find here in Reno. And a lot of people enjoying this food. Bring friends, comfortable clothing, and your appetite for food and community!
Idlewild Park is a beautiful location for Food Truck Friday. There will be tables and spots to sit, or just grass and a blanket. Summer is in the air and the smell will be out of this world with so much food to chose from! There are drink vendors as well. Come prepared for a good time and a good meal!
Food Truck Friday is a celebration of Reno’s street food. You can try Italian food, Hawaiian food, Mexican food, Indian food, and more - or pick a different food truck each week, as the event will run every Friday this summer, concluding on August 27th.
Organizers are expecting crowds of about 4,000 people each day. The schedule for the event is:
- June 4, 11, 18, 25
- July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
- August 6, 13, 20, 27
From their Facebook page, “Food truck Friday -Reno Street Food is a Food Truck Event Production Company. We feature over 35 gourmet food, dessert and local craft beer, wine and spirits vendors weekly.” In addition, Food Truck Friday will also feature local musicians - this week, the opening night live music will be presented by Jason King. Live music starts at 5pm.
