Vaccine pop-ups are coming to Ballard this Friday.City of Seattle

The Seattle Fire Department is hosting another round of vaccination pop-up events in Seattle, with one happening in Queen Anne today and two in the Ballard Brewery District on Friday.

The SFD pop-ups will include all three vaccines: Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines will be distributed for any residents age 12 or older. If you've already received your first dose of Moderna or Pfizer, you can get your second dose by showing proof of vaccination with a vaccine card or immunization record.

Today (Thursday, June 3) SFD will set up at the Queen Anne Farmers Market. The first 100 patients vaccinated at that clinic will receive a $5 gift card to the farmers market.

SFD is partnering with Obec Brewing and Stoup Brewing in Ballard to host in-brewery clinics on Friday, June 4. Both breweries will purchase a beer or non-alcoholic beverage for all those vaccinated at the pop-ups. Details on these pop-ups are as follows:

Pop-up vaccine sites are set to continue through the summer, while the majority of the city's fixed vaccination sites are closing down, Mayor Jenny Durkan announced last week.

"Our high-volume vaccination sites were crucial to ensuring we vaccinated 70 percent of our residents and workers across Seattle. Now that we’re set to reach that milestone, we’re refocusing our efforts on our mobile vaccination teams, which are proven to be our best tool at vaccinating historically underserved and vaccine hesitant communities," Durkan said in a statement.

"Our pop-up clinics help us reach hundreds of Seattleites who may not have even planned to get vaccinated. I encourage everyone who still needs either their first or second dose of vaccine to visit a Seattle Fire pop-up this week and help get us further down the road to recovery."

"The Queen Anne Farmers Market is pleased to partner with Seattle Fire to bring vaccinations to everyone in the community and we look forward to hosting a pop-up clinic on our market's Opening Day June 3, 2021!" Matt Kelly, Executive Director of the Queen Anne Farmers Market, said in a statement.

Since launching vaccine distribution on January 14, the City has administered vaccinations to over 131,000 people. For more information, including how to get vaccinated today, visit the City’s vaccination website.
