THE WOODLANDS, TX – Feeling fantastical? Then join The Woodlands Children’s Museum for two days of magical fun for International Fairy Day!
On June 24 and June 26, parents and their children are invited to come dressed as their favorite woodland creatures and take part in a wide variety of magical adventures. In The Muse Art Bar, children can build their own special set of fairy wings, and get extra magical with fairy-style face painting.
“Believing in fairies opens young minds to the magic of nature and the wonderment found in the world around us,” stated Angela Colton, the museum’s Executive Director. “On our annual Fairy Day, that magic is seen on the faces of guests as they meet and pose for pictures with Tinkerbell, who appears to have just flown in on a cloud of pixie dust.”
Tinkerbell will be onsite both days from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to greet children and take pictures on stage. On June 24, visitors will also get a special animated story experience of ‘Backyard Fairies’ by Phoebe Wahl. A stunningly illustrated tale of a young girl in search of magical fairies in her backyard, chasing secret clues and traces of magic as she dives into the world of fairies, sprites, and more magical creatures.
Open extended hours this Summer, the Woodlands Children’s Museum encourages people to pre-purchase tickets for the Fairy Day event at their website, www.woodlandschildrensmuseum.org. In order to ensure families have a safe and enjoyable experience, only a limited number of tickets will be sold. Tickets are $7 for all adults and children over the age of 1.
