CLEVELAND – Literary Cleveland, a nonprofit organization and creative writing center, will be hosting a fundraiser titled ‘A Lit Summer Night’ on Thursday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m.

The event aims to raise funds while celebrating and supporting Cleveland’s local writing community. The theme of this year’s fundraiser is “Literary Journeys”.

The event will feature readings from writers who have benefitted from Literary Cleveland programming and are still part of the local writer community. The readings will include participants of Literary Cleveland’s Voices from the Edge writing project for essential workers.

_First They Killed My Father_’s best-selling author, Loung Ung will also be featured in the virtual event as a special guest. Ung is a Clevelander, lifelong activist, and author of other books such as _Lucky Child_ and _Lulu in the Sky_.

Would-be participants who register early will also receive a ‘Literary Adventure Box’ full of literary goodies, including books, travel snacks, bookstore gift certificates, special items, and an exclusive literary map of Cleveland.

The entire event will take place online. The organizers will provide a Zoom invitation to the participant after a ticket has been purchased.
