Case Study: Why some people are too stupid to have kids.

According to local police, a 26-year-old man named Michael Williams in Opa Locka Florida thought his 10-year-old son’s idea of a drive-by shooting with a rifle-style paintball gun was a grand idea. So, naturally, they reportedly hopped in the family van to go do it. According to one witness, there was at least one adult in the car during the carnage that followed.

“The guy riding around with his kids in the car with their ski masks and hoodies on, and they were apparently shooting at people,” said witness Maurice Adams who lives nearby.

Witnesses say they pulled up to a house with children playing outside and opened fire with the rifle-style paintball gun. This devolved into other children with paintball guns also shooting at the children.

This apparently did not sit well with the homeowner who brandished a real, no-nonsense firearm and shot once into the vehicle, hitting the 10-year-old son referred to in the introduction to this story.

Michael Williams disputes this timeline of events, saying, “No, the car came out like pulling up as he was shooting. There was no car, like, my son was already on the ground.” Still, police have charged the young father with child neglect with great bodily harm.

In fact, the responding officer’s report said Williams “acted recklessly by agreeing to conduct a drive by paint ball shooting.”

The boy suffered a further injury besides the gunshot wound. He apparently lost his balance and was run over by the van as his father was trying to corral him back in it. They did so and drove home where the family called 9-1-1.

The boy is expected to make a full recovery.
