If you are looking for an Instagram-worthy ice cream place to check out and beat the upcoming summer heat, you must check out Bumsan Organic Milk Bar in Koreatown. Located on S Western Ave, Bumsan has a small parking lot in the back. It is an adorable ice cream shop where it was smaller than I expected. Their menu is quite small and they rotate the ice cream flavors throughout the week. Most of the ice cream usually comes in their signature vanilla-flavored cones with different color sprinkles. If I didn’t see this place all over Instagram, I probably wouldn’t have known about it. After hearing great things, I am happy to confirm that Bumsan is a solid ice cream place and is slowly making it to the top of my list.

There weren't too many flavors on the menu since they focus on a few at a time. Something that makes Bumsan stand out compare to other ice cream shops is its unique flavors. I got the dragon fruit lychee swirl with fruity pebbles and my friend got the milk + matcha swirl with sprinkles on top. The price ranges around $6 per cone which is quite pricey but is completely worth it. There aren’t too many places to take pictures in the store since it is so small and due to the pandemic, they are also limiting how many people can go in at once. However, if you go outside, you can take cute photos in their small outdoor area and against the infamous pastel pink wall. The texture of the ice cream was just right and has a perfect consistency and perfect texture. I love how it didn’t melt super fast even though it was a hot day and I can see the quality is very high. If you are a fan of fruity/sweet ice cream, then I highly recommend the dragon fruit lychee. I also don’t see this flavor often so I am happy that this was offered here. As for the milk + matcha one, it tastes exactly like the one at Matcha Love but with better consistency. I also heard they have a taro milk tea and Vietnamese coffee flavor so I must get my hands on that next time.

I cannot wait to come back and check Bumsan again! Not only is everything very aesthetic here but the ice cream is solid and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a beautiful sweet summer treat to beat the heat.
