COBB COUNTY, ATLANTA — Cobb County officials announced that all Cobb County Public Library (CCPL) locations are open for in-person service starting on Tuesday, June 1.
Cobb Library Director Helen Poyer remarked that the reopening of all 15 Cobb libraries to public use was made possible by a year-long, complex joint effort by Cobb library personnel and Cobb Government colleagues.
“CCPL’s phased approach to reopening gave us time to devise curbside service models, fill most staff vacancies, and prepare branches to serve our public by adding protective devices and equipment to continue to help curb the transmission of COVID,” said the Cobb Library Director Helen Poyer.
Like most libraries around the world, Cobb public libraries have been closed and reopened with limited services since mid-March 2020. Libraries are currently operating at a more typical level while maintaining health and safety regulations.
