Fernbank’s Summer Shorts Film Fest
Event Dates: May 31, 2021 through June 6, 2021
Fernbank is kicking off summer with a line-up of some of the museum’s most popular giant screen movies. Follow the migration of monarch butterflies, swim with sea lions, experience the life of predators, and more. For one week only, you can see these eight fan favorite films again, as well as two newer films, with a different line-up every day.
Atlanta Fringe Festival
Event Dates: June 2, 2021 through June 13, 2021
The Atlanta Fringe Festival returns for its 9th year with a virtual festival. From the comfort of your own home, you can stream high quality videos of dance, comedy, improve, storytelling, musicals, and more from across the globe. The festival will feature both live and pre-recorded performances, livestreams, viewing parties with artist Q&A, and free podcasts and audio theatre.
Candler Park Music Festival
Event Dates: June 4, 2021 through June 5, 2021
The highly-anticipated Candler Park Music Festival will be celebrating 13 years in Candler Park. The festival will feature a line-up of funk, blues, bluegrass, and soulful swamp rock music as well as additional activities like a food village with local restaurant vendors and food trucks and an artist market.
Atlanta Spring Wine Festival
Event Date: June 5, 2021
The annual Atlanta Spring Wine Festival will be held in Historic 4th Ward Park on June 5th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The festival will feature over 50 wine varieties to taste as well as a selection of beer, cider, and White Claw. There will also be live music, food vendors, and plenty of fun and games. Each attendee will receive a souvenir acrylic wine glass to take home.
Atlanta Summer Beer Fest
Event Date: June 12, 2021
The 11th annual Atlanta Summer Beer Fest will be held at Historic 4th Ward Park. You can enjoy 150+ beers from local Atlanta breweries and breweries from all over the country, a selection of wines, hard seltzers, and ciders. There will be live music and a DJ.
Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival
Event Dates: June 18, 2021 through June 19, 2021
The Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival at Centennial Olympic Park is three big days packed with headliners and national artists; national speakers; a United Nations Human Rights Forum; a Black History Parade/March and Rally; community vendors and an artist’s market; a 5k Freedom Run/Walk/Roll; family activities; food trucks; and much more.
Uncorked Atlanta Wine Festival
Event Date: June 19, 2021
Park Tavern will be holding the Uncorked Atlanta Wine Festival at their restaurant overlooking Piedmont Park. You’ll receive a souvenir Uncorked Atlanta Tasting Glass and complimentary wine and craft beer tastings from over 50 varieties. There will be music, a DJ, and food available for purchase.
Pride Run 5k
Event Date: June 20, 2021
Front Runners Atlanta, a running, walking, and social club for the LGBTQ+ community, is holding its 31st annual Atlanta Pride Run & Walk. This 5 kilometer race and fundraiser for Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ community will be held in-person this year in Piedmont Park.
