(SAN FRANCISCO) Police in San Francisco on Wednesday released video surveillance of a teen who ignited a woman's hair aboard a Muni bus one month ago in an effort to identify them.

The incident occurred on May 2 at approximately 2:25 p.m. on a # 5 Fulton Street Muni bus. As seen in the video, an unidentified male teenager approached the woman from behind and began lighting her hair with what appears to be a lighter. Two other passengers are seen in the background but don't intervene.

Officers from the San Francisco Police Department's Tenderloin Station responded to McAllister and Leavenworth streets, where the bus operator explained what happened. Other passengers assisted the victim, but she left the scene before police arrived.

Meanwhile, the teen and the two other persons of interest exited the bus and were last seen headed eastbound on McAllister Street. Police are asking for the public's assistance to identify him. He is described as Black and was last seen wearing a red, long sleeve top with a colored logo on the front, matching red pants and a black backpack.

Police also are asking the victim to come forward and provide a statement. She is described as Filipino or Latin, between 50 and 60 years old with dark hair and eyeglasses.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the SFPD's tip line at 1-415-575-4444 or text TIP411 with "SFPD" to start the message. Tips may remain anonymous.
