MAGNOLIA, TX – Deputies with the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office recovered a large stash of stolen vehicles and equipment after a traffic stop led them to the location.
Deputies stopped 37 year-old Aaron Hughes on Terri Lane a little before noon on Saturday, May 29. After speaking with Hughes, Deputies learned the dirt bike he was driving had been reported as stolen. Deputies were then led to 15619 Gaff Rd, where Deputies met with auto theft investigators from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
A woman at the location, identified as 40 year-old Jessica Jones, was found to have an outstanding warrant for Larceny out of Montgomery County, and was arrested by Deputies.
On site, Deputies and Investigators were able to recover more dirt bikes, several trailers, an RV, backhoe, skid-steer, two trucks, and a side-by-side ATV. All of these items were found to be stolen by investigators.
Hughes was charged with state jail felony Theft and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, racking up a $6,500 bond. Jones was arrested on her outstanding warrant with a bond of $500. Both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail, and are still in custody.
Precinct 5 Constable Chris Jones stated, “The Precinct 5 Constable’s Department is proactively searching for those in our area attempting to steal from the community. Stealing from the hard working citizens of Montgomery County will not be tolerated and those that do will be located and arrested. If you have information regarding any thefts or theft rings please contact our office.”
