Families are saying “goodbye” to the end of the school year and saying “hello” to summer vacation. This is the perfect time to celebrate summer with the whole family and indulge in fun activities at Children’s Museum Houston.

Children’s Museum Houston reopens their museum to the members of the museum and the media before the museum is eventually open to the public from June 8 until August 21, 2021, with “Fun Summer Vibes”. Members of the museum and media are invited to attend the Children’s Museum Houston’s Preview Day held on June 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Children’s Museum Houston “Fun Summer Vibes” will be celebrated with performances by the Museum’s Tot*Tunes band, a “Six-Foot Slide” show, a steel drummer, and ended with a burst of confetti cannons. Embark on a daily escapade filled with thrills, activities and performances from various artists all summer 2021.

As the event is held in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, visitors are required to wear masks indoors at all times, make their reservations online, and use hand sanitizer upon entering the building. Mask requirement exceptions apply for vaccinated visitors.

To maintain the safety of our visitors, a cleaning crew disinfects surfaces and “high touch” areas regularly. Deep cleaning with oxychlorine disinfectant — a solution used in childcare centers, schools, and hospitals — takes place every night.

To further ensure the safety of the guests, the museum covered its building’s door handles and railings with Nanoseptic wrapping. Fresh outside air is circulated continually during the day. The museum also placed MERV13 filters and UV lights in air ducts to keep the air clean.
