On Sunday, 69-year-old Terry Henry lost his life in a fatal single-vehicle crash on LA Hwy 431 south of LA Hwy 931 in Ascension Parish.
The incident took place just before 8 p.m. wherein one vehicle was involved. As per preliminary reports, Henry was going southbound on LA Hwy 431 in a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. The Chevrolet exited the roadway to the left for still unknown reasons and hit a tree bordering the roadway.
After hitting the tree, the Chevrolet then crashed into a house. Authorities said that Henry was properly restrained at the time of the crash but he succumbed to his injuries. A toxicology sample was obtained from Henry for analysis.
An investigation is continuing.
