There you will find Quarry Coffee and Cafe, a great spot for enjoying gourmet food and coffee. I first discovered this spot in 2016 after I had my first child. It was a great spot for my childhood best friend and I to meet up, along with the baby, and get a chance to visit. My favorite go-to drink was a sugar-free dark chocolate mocha and my favorite treat was their chocolate chip pumpkin biscotti. There are plenty of other coffee specials and bakery items to choose from as well.

The fireplace makes for a cozy backdrop for conversation and coffee. The couches are comfortable and it is a great environment to just relax. It is nestled in a strip mall in Lannon, so you may easily pass it by, but it is definitely worth the visit. From the outside, you do not realize what a cozy space there is inside. History
Quarry Coffee and Cafe first opened in 2006 by Chef Scott Mattfeld, who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, and worked at many five-star hotels and resorts prior to opening the restaurant. Even though he attended school in New York, he is from Menomonee Falls and even a graduate of Menomonee Falls North High School.
Quarry Coffee and Cafe specializes in Cha Cha teas, gourmet coffees, unique sandwiches and fresh homemade bakery items. There are also box lunches and catering for large groups available. Not only is Quarry Coffee and Cafe a great place to enjoy food, you can also learn through their classes! There are also book club evenings, specialty dinners, wine tastings and coffee cuppings to enjoy.
Another thing that makes it unique
The high-quality of the food is really what draws people in. Quarry Coffee and Cafe does not advertise. They don’t need to. Instead, their satisfied customers spread the word for them. What makes the food so delicious is that much of their cuisine comes from a nearby garden. Mattfeld uses this garden that stretches from his property to an adajcent lot.
The menu
Quarry Coffee is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can get breakfast at any time during Saturday’s hours. Their breakfast menu features a New Mexican Omelet, Meat Lovers Scramble, Biscuits and Gravy, Breakfast Burrito, Smokehouse Pork Half Sandwich, Quiche, Baked Oatmeal and a French Toast Bake. For lunch, you can get BBQ Brisket Burnt Ends, Smoked Pork, Pork Tacos, Cuban sandwich, Cheesesteak, Bacon CHeeseburger, Roasted Veggie Pita bowl, chili, soup, Raspberry Chicken Salad, BLT Chicken salad wrap, street corn slaw, side salad and chips.
Their Saturday brunch menu is also impressive. Each week features a unique brunch item that is served that day only. You can also get a New Mecian Omelet, Chocolate covered strawberry waffle bowls, a meal lovers scramble, biscuits and gravy, ham and cheese omelet, breakfast burrito, smokehouse pork half sandwich, quiche, baked oatmeal, French toaste bake, bacon cheeseburger, BLT chicken salad wrap, or a Cuban sandwich.
Quarry Coffee and Cafe is a true hidden gem of the community of Lannon, and you should check it out if you are in the Menomonee Falls or Sussex area as well.
