New York City is not short of skyscrapers. NYC houses a plethora of huge buildings that become an eye-candy for its residents and tourists alike. To add to its ranks, Summit One Vanderbilt was unveiled on Wednesday by realty giant SL Green. This humungous building consists of a thrill-inducing observatory on the top of the 1401ft high skyscraper. According to Real Estate Weekly, the building is designed by Kenzo Digital with interiors by Snøhetta, and the deck offers an aerial view atop along with the aid of cutting-edge technologies and multi-sensory experiences. They promise an unprecedented guest experience ranging from art, culture, nature, and design.

Basically, you’ll be able to fetch an all-glass enclosed elevator to the top of 1401ft, wherein you’re presented with a jaw-dropping view of the city. This facility, labeled ‘Ascent’, is followed by ‘Levitation’ which is a series of glass sky-boxes that protrudes out of the building exposing it to breathtaking picturesque views. All of these would spread across the four-storied, 65,000 square foot of entertainment space situated on the top of One Vanderbilt, as per Timeout.com.

SL Green Corp., who is behind the sculpture of this masterpiece, says it will be fully functional and open to the public on October 21. Summit One Vanderbilt is a vision of the company to take the history of skyscrapers at New York a step further. The building would connect itself directly to the Grand Central Terminal. This installation would be a part of a $3.3 billion development including Michelin fame Chef Daniel Boulud’s Le Pavilion.

Exhilarating views from the observation deck which is 1200ft up in the air has already circulated to widespread awe and accolades. This would be the fourth tallest building in New York City, trailing only behind One World Trade (1776ft), Central Park Tower (1550ft), and 111 West 57th Street (1428ft).
