My husband and I each ordered a sirloin steak. He had a 12 ounce sirloin cooked medium and smothered with mushrooms and onions with double green beans as side dishes.
I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin cooked medium smothered with mushrooms and onions with a baked sweet potato topped with cinnamon honey butter and a Caesar salad. He had the apple pie à la mode and I had the strawberry cheesecake.
Both our meals were absolutely delicious. Texas Roadhouse does steak well. This is the best steakhouse I have ever eaten at.
The experience inside is great.
It’s always filled with happy people, good music, and a warm and welcoming feeling. They give you peanuts at your table where they encourage you to crack the shells and drop them on the floor. As you walk around the restaurant you’ll see peanut shells everywhere and that’s the theme they are going for.
They’re known for their freshly baked bread which tastes like sweet yeast rolls similar to the kind you get at Golden Corral but smaller. I could live on the rolls for days. I usually order the same thing every time which is the sirloin. You can’t go wrong with any other cuts of steak.
My husband has experimented with the T-bone, the ribeye, the sirloin and he loves all of them.
Now the sides...
The green beans are well seasoned and super flavorful. My husband loves them so much that he gets green beans for both of his sides. In my opinion the sweet potato is a must-get as a side when you order steak. You can get it all the way, topped with marshmallows and cinnamon butter and it can become a real sweet treat by that point.
I like it more simple with just a little bit of cinnamon butter on top. The Caesar salad is super delicious and the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. They make the croutons homemade and you can tell.
Recently I tried their burger for the first time and it did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly and super delicious. It came with seasoned fries and I got a side Caesar salad on the side as well.
They have three desserts: the apple pie with ice cream is huge and full of flavor. The strawberry cheesecake is rich and creamy with a perfect tartness coming from the strawberries. The brownie à la mode looks delicious and rich and although I’ve never tasted it I bet it’s just as delicious as the other desserts.
The Experience
I have a stellar experience every time I visit Texas Roadhouse. The only drawback is the wait, which is to be expected. No matter when I come here there’s always usually a wait and a packed parking lot. Still though, the servers are super nice and you have a great time every time.
I have never had my order messed up here and I’ve never had any issue at Texas Roadhouse.
Overall impression
Texas Roadhouse is a 10 out of 10 rating perfect rating by me. Everything is perfect and if you have not eaten here you are really missing out. This is the best steakhouse in the country!
