I love trying out new restaurants that I have not tried before. Not just a restaurant that I haven't tried, but also a dish or flavor that would be new to me. One restaurant that I tried for the first time recently was Prosecco Italian Restaurant, located in Farmington, NY. Prosecco is an authentic Italian restaurant and I can assure you, Italian is never a bad idea if you ask me. I can not begin to describe how beautiful this local restaurant was. The inside was very warm with an Italian feel and had soothing music playing, making this perfect for a quiet dinner out.
The Menu.
The menu was very Italian. All of the most well known Italian dishes were on their menu. However, I decided to go for steak. Not because I've never tried it before but becuase I really wanted to try the chef's sauce because I am a huge fan of any sauce. Also, we had already had homemade Italian dishes 2 days that week and I was not feeling like eating pasta again. Since the dinner was a birthday celebration, I had decided it was a perfect time for steak and wine.
My Order.
I ordered NY Strip Steak. This came with a side salad, baked potatoes, and asparagus. The steak was topped with a delicious wine sauce that I have never had before. The waitress spoke very highly of their wine steak sauce and since I had never had it before, I wanted to give it a taste. Also, to the steak I added Gorgonzola cheese and it was the best decision I had ever made. The cheese and the steak was a perfect combination and the chef made steak sauce made this dish absolutely perfect. The potatoes and asparagus were perfectly cooked and seasoned so I definitely rate this meal 5 out of 5.
