In this restaurant review I’m gonna share about the food, experience, and overall impression eating at Little V’s Bistro in Katy, Texas.

The Food

This restaurant is known for their Vietnamese food. You'll find menu items like pho, vermicelli, banh mi sandwiches, and more.

My husband and I each tried their pho soup. Pho is a broth-based soup. It usually comes with beef as the protein which you can get in flank steak, ribeye, filet mignon or other cuts of beef.

You can also get pho with shrimp, chicken, and other protein available. What drew us to this restaurant was that they offered a vegan pho which we haven’t been able to find elsewhere. The vegan pho is more than just for soup with vegetables in it. The broth has to be vegan and not the beef-based broth that we usually have with pho.

The pho was full of flavor. It included a bunch of filling vegetables like carrots, broccoli, and more. The broth was delicious. It was well seasoned and the entire bowl was very tasty and warming.

Their vegan pho is all vegetables and noodles.

At a similar vegan restaurant you can get a soup like this with faux meat which tricks your mind into thinking you’re eating meat. It would’ve been nice if they had an option like this.

The vegetables are hearty but unfortunately I was left wanting a little more. I wasn’t fully satisfied. And I don’t get that feeling when I eat pho with meat in it or faux meat.

We recently ate here again and had the chance to try the ribeye pho. The beef meat pho's come raw and you put them in the broth to cook. It's a fun way to eat and you can have this experience even when ordering takeout!

This dish was a beef broth soup with ribeye, onions, green onions, bean sprouts, and optional sriracha sauce and hoisin sauce on the side.

The ribeye pho was full and hearty without feeling fatty, oily, or greasy. It was well seasoned and hard to stop eating.

Experience

The experience we have had here most times was good.

I have only had one bad experience and that was when I ordered a big order ($60 value) for delivery through Doordash and they cancelled the entire order with no explanation.

That was disappointing and had us stay away from Little V’s for the next several months until now. Aside from that time, every interaction we’ve had with the restaurant has been pleasant and we haven't had another similar occurrence to that one.

Another thing I like is that their service is fast. We've never had to wait longer than 15 to 20 minutes when ordering takeout from here.

Overall Impression

I think Little V’s is worth trying especially if you love eating pho as much as my husband and I do. They have a big menu so don't be shy and feel free to try your favorites. You'll certainly have a lot to choose from.

Although this restaurant is not my favorite for a Vietnamese food or for pho, I think that their vast menu and huge assortment of pho soups makes it a place that you definitely have to try.

You can get pho with meatballs, different cuts of steak, vegan or vegetarian, and more. If you like some variety, then their menu won’t disappoint especially if you’re vegan or vegetarian.

Unlike some other competitor restaurants serving similar cuisine, they have plates to accommodate you if you’re living a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle.

I would rate a Little V’s a 6 out of 10. Have you eaten here? Comment below to let me know your experience.
