(THE BRONX, N.Y.) The New York City Police Department launched an investigation after a woman was found dead in the Bronx on Saturday, according to PIX 11.
Authorities received a call regarding the woman around 6:27 a.m. after she was found lying unconscious on Jerome Avenue.
Police found the woman with no clear signs of trauma, per PIX 11.
Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and pronounced the woman dead.
According to PIX 11, a medical examiner will determine the cause of death. Police are still investigating the incident and the woman's identity has not been made public at this time.
