Experiencing pristine nature, walking through gardens and parks, and just being in the outdoors, in general, are becoming more and more attractive to the population. Tourist destinations offering activities in the great outdoors and being active in nature are being overrun as we proceed with our lives during a pandemic.

California is one of the most popular summer holiday destinations in the US and coming closer to vacation time it is now to plan your trip. If your thinking of coming down to the coast and exploring the city of Santa Barbara and its surroundings, Lotusland should be on your list if you're interested in nature and vegetation.

A Polish opera singer purchased the land where Lotusland is now located in 1941 and spent a total of 43 years creating the nature habitat. A huge variety of exotic plants are growing til today in the gardens are the reason why Lotusland got recognized as one of the ten best gardens in the world. This is a reward to be proud of.

The gardens are located in a residential neighborhood where it is required to make a reservation before visiting. Depending on the seasons you can find different highlights throughout Lotusland. Over 3000 plants from all over the world are growing, blooming, and seeding here.

The gardens are categorized in different highlights and topics ranging from the aloe garden of insectary, fern garden, to the Japanese garden and water garden. The huge variety of gardens will guarantee that everyone finds something for him or herself. There are always flowers blooming and insects buzzing around ensuring the pollination of the plants.

Throughout the year different events are taking place at Lotusland making a cultural and environmental place of importance. Life bands often perform their lovely music and attract countless visitors. But not only public events are taking place here. The gardens are a lovely venue for weddings, birthday parties or other special celebrations which for you can book the property. Or let's say part of it. These events can also be included in an enhanced tour which includes a casual lunch or reception in Lotusland's Pavilion Patio.
