Pizza is sort of difficult to mess up, but you’ll know a high-quality pie from a subpar one within one bite. If you don’t want to waste your money on the typical chain pizza places like Pizza Hut or Papa Johns, then you’ll find yourself plenty pleased with these three delicious spots. Whether you’re firmly cheese only or you’re an everything and then some type of person, you’re sure to love at least one (if not all) or these local pizza places in the Orlando area.

1. Prato

For an elegant pizza that’s worth the extra dough, Prato serves up a delicious selection of pizzas with slight changes to the menu depending on the season. Pick a day when you aren’t in a rush and enjoy the elegant atmosphere Prato offers with greenery and spanning windows. Both indoor and outdoor seating is a pleasant experience that will have you convinced to return.

Definitely order a Widowmaker, a pizza with fennel sausage and a farm egg among other ingredients. The Fiorentina with arrowhead spinach crema is another favorite. The best way I’ve found to dine at Prato is to go with friends and order multiple pizzas to split among the group. This is a lunchtime favorite but make sure you aren’t on a time crunch as it isn’t necessarily the quickest place to dine. Perfection takes time!

Price Range: $16 per pizza

Address: 124 N Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789

2. Lazy Moon Pizza

Can you ever have too much pizza? The correct answer is ‘no’ but Lazy Moon Pizza certainly pushes those boundaries. Get a massive pizza from the University or Mills Lazy Moon Pizza location and prepare to feast. Their pizzas come by the slice, 20-inch, or 30-inch. You can then customize your chosen size with proteins like Mojo Pork and Tempeh, and cheeses from feta to asiago. There’s also plenty of fruits, veggies, and dipping sides to pick from.

Lazy Moon Pizza doesn’t stop at just pizza. Try an order of their cheesy breadsticks or one of their calzones (also quite large).

Price Range: $5.25 per slice, $23.75 for a 20-inch, $31.25 for a 30-inch, toppings are additional

Address: 11551 University Boulevard Orlando, FL 32817

1011 E. Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL 32803

3. Brick & Fire

There is just one Brick & Fire Pizza and Pasta Parlor and fortunately, it's located right in Downtown Orlando. Get the freshest dough with the highest-quality cheese and toppings when you order at Brick & Fire. This pizza parlor has a variety of pizzas to pick from, including pizzas like The Angry Shrimp. The Milano, The Herbivore, and more.

Their selection includes options that will satisfy both classic pizza cravings and the desire to explore something new. Beyond pizzas, Brick & Fire also serves bruschettas, wings, subs, pasta, and calzones. Essentially, only the pickiest of eaters will walk away unsatisfied.

Price Range: $9 to $16 for an entree-sized pizza

Address: 1621 S. Orange Ave Orlando, FL 32806
