May 2021 has brought in a number of new restaurants and shops to the Orlando area among which is KOS, a coffee shop and brand that focuses on social good and inspiring Koselig living. This shop, inspired by the Norwegian heritage of the owners and the Norwegian word koselig, meaning coziness, offers both goods and sips at their new 129 W. Fairbanks Avenue location. Stop by this airy and bright coffee shop to add a little more coziness to your morning.
The main KOS products include coffee, candles, wine, and soap. Beyond this they sell cute KOS merch and apple butter, handmade and sourced from the owners’ family farm in Virginia,
Coffee at KOS
KOS sells fair trade certified coffee that is single origin. You can get their coffee either whole bean or ground. The options include:

KOS sells their coffee in bags or in single-serving ‘adventure ready coffee’ pouches.
Candles at KOS
KOS’s candles are single-wick, soy-based, hand-poured candles that are made in small batches. The candles have no parabens, phthalates, suflactes, and synthetic dyes. They are also cruelty-free. The candles are 8 oz and boast a 60-hour burn time.

Wine at KOS
KOS currently has two wines available for purchase, a Pinot Grigio and a Cabernet Sauvignon. The Pinot Grigio has notes of melon, citrus zest, and crème fraiche. The Cabernet Sauvignon throws up hints of black cherry, fig, and vanilla. The 2018 and 2019 vintage were sourced from California vineyards and bottled in Buellton, California.
Soap at KOS
Just like their candles, KOS’s soaps are cruelty-free. The soaps have no parabens, phthalates, sulfates, or synthetic dyes. Their soap line currently includes five scents: Basic Bar, Apple Bottom, Chakra, Koselig and Chill, and Me Time.

If you want to regularly receive your favorite KOS goods, then a subscription might be the right fit. KOS offers wine, coffee, soap, and candle subscriptions which can be customized to your needs. Shop Hours and Location
KOS’s first retail store is located at 129 W. Fairbanks Avenue. You’ll see this location as you drive down Fairbanks in the Rollins College area. It is in the same stretch as Tin & Taco and All Fired Up. When you decide to check out KOS’s storefront you can plan to grab lunch at any one of the tasty restaurants along Park Avenue and stop into the various other local shops.

Social Good and Initiatives
Each purchase of a KOS product helps to support a non-profit organization. KOS focuses on neighborhood revitalization, educational initiatives, and after school programs. Currently KOS is partnered with Seed, Visit Lift Orlando, and New Image Youth Center.
Seed is an organization that works in rural areas of developing nations and provides education and help with entrepreneurial efforts and development. This is a Christian non-profit based out of Tennessee.
Lift Orlando works to invest in and strengthen the historic area near Camping World Stadium in Orlando referred to as The Communities of West Lakes. To accomplish their mission, Lift Orlando is working on projects like mixed income housing, stimulation of economic activity to increase household incomes, creation of high-quality health and wellness facilities, and building high-performing educational pipelines to help children make their way to a promising career.
New Image Youth Center (NIYC) is a youth-focused organization in the Parramore community. NIYC provides academic support, social development, health and wellness programs, and crisis intervention for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade at no cost. This organization was founded by then 21-year-old Shanta Barton-Stubbs in 2004.
