High Museum of Art Atlanta will present two new exhibits on June High Frequency on Friday, June 4. The featured exhibitions are "Underexposed: Women Photographers from the Collection" and "Our Good Earth: Rural Life and American Art". Ree De La Vega will curate the music for the event, with performances by Jash Jay, DJ EU, and Twirls by Divoli S'vere.

"Underexposed: Women Photographers from the Collection" is a photography exhibition highlighting women photographers' works and other photographers who photograph women, children, and families. The exhibition will display more than a hundred photographs of the museum's collection, some never shown before.

The artist featured in the exhibition are pioneers of the art, such as Anna Atkins, and recent innovators and experimenters such as Betty Hahn, Barbara Kasten, and Meghann Riepenhoff. There will be works from contemporary photographers who challenge social constructions of gender, sexuality, and identity as well, such as Zanele Muholi, Sheila Pree Bright, Cindy Sherman, Mickalene Thomas, and Carrie Mae Weems.

"Our Good Earth: Rural Life and American Art" will display a vast selection of prints, drawings, and photographs from the High Museum of Art's collection of the life of Americans outside the city limit in the span of a century.

The exhibition will feature the works of Winslow Homer, Rhonda Nicholls, Thomas Hart Benton, Marion Greenwood, Clarence John Laughlin, Lewis Hine, and Andrew Wyeth.
