What if I was to tell you there was a 10-course brunch that included 3 alcoholic beverages and direct beach access in Marina del Rey! Well, it's all happening at Beachside Restaurant at the Jamaica Bay Inn.
Here's a look at what you can experience during a Brunch on Mother's Beach and you can scroll down to the bottom if you're just hungry for the price!
Monkey Biz
The first course is a Monkey Biz frozen cocktail made with coffee liquer, screwball peanut butter whiskey, bananas, and more. It tastes light and is the perfect way to start a meal when you still need a little caffeine to get you going.
But First Bread
Next, you have Pastries with housemade preserves and whipped butter. The pastries weren't my favorite, although the warm muffins were a great addition to a breezy beachside morning. Don't skip on the preserves though, which really hit the spot with a corner of that pastry.
Fresh & Easy
Choose between Stone Fruits with greek yogurt and lavender honey or a Watermelon and Heirloom Tomato Salad with gazpacho dressing. Luckily when you're eating with 2 people, you don't have to choose.
Maduros Family Style
This was really fun for me, as I'm a fan of Maduros (fried bananas) when done in the traditional Cuban style. This kicks it up a notch with mole, bacon, and smoked crema and brings in a Mexican sensibility.
Boozy Break for Mimosa Me
Since you've already had your coffee, it's time for a cocktail. The Mimosa is made with St. Michele Sparkling wine and orange juice.
Tortilla Soup
A warm bowl of savory goodness with poblano crema, tortilla chips, and cotija cheese.
Hot & Savory
Here you'll find the main course with 6 choices like Crepes; Chilaquiles; Crab Cake Benedict; and KFD and Waffles. The K in KFD is for a crispy fried duck leg over a cornbread waffle. This was my favorite dish in the meal.
Jello Shot
Nothing gets you more ready for a day at the beach than a jello shot that makes you feel barely 21 again. Slurp up this house margarita flavor and get ready for a good time.
So what's the damage?
The 10-course brunch is just $55 a person and as I mentioned it offers direct access to the beach! Parking is just $5 and that's valid ALL DAY! Your weekend just got that much easier.
Brunch takes place every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
