Summer is almost here, and we're already dreaming of sandy beaches and crystal clear water seas.
One good thing about the quarantine has been the depuration of our seas and the proliferation of our oceans which we immediately benefitted from.
So here's a dreamy list of 5 of my favourite Florida beaches which are a must to visit this year of 2021.
Siesta Beach
If you enjoy long walks on the beach then this is the perfect spot for you!
This beach is huge and so, a great spot if you want to avoid big crowds and if you want to enjoy a peaceful day with your family.
Be prepared to walk a lot to reach the shore but I guarantee, it will be totally worth it!
One of the props of the beach is also the many local amenities and restaurants.
Fort Lauderdale beach
White sand and spotless landscapes, peaceful and relaxing beach, free from seashells that could hurt your feet it is the perfect spot for a sunny afternoon.
You can swim or even walk far into the sea since it's a long way before the water rises. Very handy the bar across the street called the Elbow Room, where you can enjoy a drink or two with your friends and family.
Clearwater beach
Lots to do on this beach, from renting cabanas to dolphin tours, to a variety of restaurants within walking distance, this beach is the perfect family spot. Thin white powder-like sand will make you feel like you're walking on clouds. This beach is so beautiful that USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013!
The downside? As with every beautiful beach, it can get a bit overcrowded during the peak summer periods and parking can be a challenge.
Panama city beach
There are many things to do in Panama City and the beach is one of the best activities. A breathtaking beach on the Gulf of Mexico, where you can be sure to find clean white sand and clear water, which are Florida characteristics. A perfect family spot for the presence of sand bars, which are wonderful for smaller kids to enjoy the water without getting pummeled by waves.
This beach is a great place for fauna watching, with dolphins, pelicans, rays, small fish, sandpipers and other sea birds that you can spot fishing.
The long beach seaside also makes it a perfect spot to enjoy amazing beach walks.
Like Clearwater beach, these beautiful beaches are an all-time favourite attraction, so be mindful of parking and bank holidays because it can get very crowded.
Henderson Beach State Park
This is one of the few parks In Florida that was kept to its original preservation.
Henderson Beach State Park is a haven for wildlife and nature, a great clean and peaceful place to enjoy a nice day immersed in nature.
A less crowded beach park for people who love peaceful and quiet time with many facilities and a gorgeous white beach.
Situated not too far from the Destin Executive Airport it could be a quick stop as soon as you arrive in Florida.
Miami South Beach
I had to include Miami South Beach. Situated in a cosmopolitan city, this beach is very convenient if you are planning to stay in Miami and if you cannot reach other destinations.
Quite of a different choice compared to the other family spots mentioned but an alternative if you are more into a mundane lifestyle.
The beach is situated parallel to the famous Ocean drive and it's a great place to enjoy a day with your friends, play different sports, work out, skate along the beach and many other kinds of activities.
After the beach, you can enjoy eating at some of the restaurants across the streets and why not, sip a margarita in one of the many popular bars.
