Farmers' markets are all the rage right now and you can understand why - people are looking to maintain a healthier lifestyle and eat fresh, organic food instead of processed food - those are healthier and what better place to get fresh produce than at farmers' markets? If you live in San Diego, you're in luck because there are lots of awesome farmers' markets in the city and the best part is, there's a farmers' market for everyday of the week so you can easily fit it into your schedule.

Also, the weather in San Diego means they you can find fresh produce all-year round thanks to plenty of sunshine. Here's a guide to the best farmers' markets for every day of the week in San Diego.

On Sunday: La Jolla Open Aire Farmers Market

If you're looking for an authentic farmers market experience, then this is it. It's a great market for shopping around in an open air environment. The food is to die for and the vendors are friendly and accomodating. It is open on Sundays from 9am to 1pm and this is the perfect way to kick off a new week.

On Monday: Sprouts Farmers Market

If you fancy starting a new week shopping for some organic produce, then head on over to Sprouts Farmers Market. There are not a lot of Farmers markets that open on a Monday but this one is open from 7am to 10pm and it is so good. You can find mostly natural and organic produce with a specialty in wine and beer. If you're a lover of all of these, then this is the perfect way to spend your Monday and because it is a weekday, you'll be dealing with less of a crowd. Win-win!

On Tuesday: Coronado Certified Farmers Market

This is one of the oldest farmers markets in San Diego. It features fruits and vegetables from local growers and is open on Tuesdays from 2:30pm to 6pm. Perfect for a quick fresh grocery run mid-week. It is also generally a great place to not just shop but also eat and hang out and another perk is its proximity to other tourist spots like The Broad and Perishing Square.

On Wednesday: Ocean Beach Farmers Market
Yes, there's a farmers market for every day of the week in San Diego and the Ocean Beach Farmers market is a year-round market that's open every Wednesdays from 4pm to 8pm. Year-round market open Wednesdays 4-8 PM featuring locally grown produce, art and also live music. How cool? You go for the produce and stay for the live music and good vibes.

On Thurday: North Park Thursday Certified Farmers Market
In this Thursday market, you will mostly find hand-crafted items and vintage pieces, as well as of course farm- fresh produce. There's also the added benefit of enjoying live music while you shop, to truly put you in the weekend spirit. If you're looking for more prepared food, then this is the one. Lots of ready to eat food like Korean BBQ, fries, grilled meat and more.

On Friday: Imperial Beach Certified Farmers Market
What's better than shopping for fresh food? Doing so at the beach. Yes, this farmers market open on Fridays is not only a good shopping adventure, but the scenery makes it an even better experience. It is the perfect place to relax while shopping. Parking can be an issue so make sure to keep that in mind and come in early.

On Saturday: Little Italy Mercato Certified Farmers Market

It truly doesn't get better than Little Italy Mercato Farmers Market. This is arguably one of the best and the biggest in the whole of San Diego. It's open every Saturday and attracts a big crowd.

Tip: Come early, try to start the day as they open up. Parking can be a challenge so if you can avoid bringing a car in here, then do it. Try to bring cash too so you don't have to waste time swiping your card, but card payments are allowed as well.
