Rocket Fizz is the coolest specialty soda and candy shop I've ever visited. They have hundreds of different sodas available, ranging from legitimate, vanilla cream soda, colas, and ginger ales to flavors such as swamp juice, worm ooze, and bug barf. You'll find the perfect soda to satisfy the soda snob in your life or the kid who needs a laugh.
They also have fun candies such as pop rocks, PEZ, cotton candy, and saltwater taffy, among others.
Fun Soda Flavors as Gag Gifts or for Kids
One line of products Rocket Fizz carries is Avery's Beverages "Totally Gross" line. Look at those soda names! We've got swamp juice, fungal fruit, bug barf, worm ooze, monster mucus, kitty piddle, and toxic slime available. These are the perfect gag gift or drink for your five-year-old to try out.
Many of their sodas are displayed throughout the store, sharing space with candy displays. They also have a soda cooler in the back with more traditional sodas inside if you want a cold drink on a hot vacation day in Indianapolis. We ended up grabbing a gigantic cream soda, which was fantastic. The downside is it looked like we were lugging a huge bottle of alcohol around in public, and we definitely got some looks! After all, 22 fluid ounces is quite a big drink, even for two people!
Salt Water Taffy, Special Candies, and Traditional Snacks
Rocket Fizz has over a dozen different saltwater taffy flavors available to mix and match or buy one-off candies. This really is a great place to grab a quick, fun drink and something sweet to snack on while you explore the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and its surrounding storefronts.
Along with taffy, there are all sorts of American candies you've never heard of as well as foreign treats. If you want your classic M&Ms or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, you'll find those here too, but in far smaller quantities.
