(SAN FRANCISCO) Officials at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital on Thursday confirmed that two Asian American staff members were assaulted Monday in an alleged racially motivated attack.

The assault happened in the hospital’s Building 5, according to a memo sent out to all hospital staff Monday, per Mission Local.

In the memo, the hospital said that the perpetrator is in police custody. No further details about the suspect have been released by officials.

The two victims' current condition has not been reported at this time.

The hospital is investigating the incident as a hate crime.

"We stand together in solidarity," the hospital stated at the end of the memo, according to KTVU.
