One of the best ways to get out and have fun this summer with your family or get some exercise is to ride a bike on one of the many excellent nature trails in Southeast Michigan. It has become so popular that bicycle stores are running out of inventory. It is hard to find a bike these days if you don’t already have one or find parts to repair the one you have. However, there are a couple of places in Rochester for you to try if you need a bike. And then, you can enjoy some of the best bicycle trails in Southeast Michigan.
Bike Stores with Inventory
Rochester Bike Shop
This bike shop in downtown Rochester has been my go-to shop for getting my bike cleaned up and refreshed before the biking season commences for years. RBS has quite a selection of biking gear, helmets, and of course, bikes. I didn’t even realise how many choices there were in bikes now. The Rochester Bike Shop offers mountain bikes, fat bikes, fitness, dual sport, kids, hybrid and cyclocross bikes. They offer test rides for when you are serious about purchasing a new bike which is highly recommended as they say, “choosing a bike is like choosing a shoe”. You have to try it on and see if it fits!
KLM Bike & Fitness
The KLM bike shop is a local store selling bikes for the Rochester and Birmingham communities, and they have inventory. They offer road bikes, commuter, mountain, kids, and electric bikes. They even have a kid bike trade program. Since we all know kids grow fast and might outgrow their bikes quickly. This is a great way to trade up and get a bigger bike for your growing kid. KLM also offers bike sizing programs to get you the perfect fit for your new bike. And the best part of the KLM Bike & Fitness shop is that their website offers you links to trail maps in the area. How cool is that?!
