Cleveland Metroparks has opened The Noshery, a new pagoda-style concession building, and Sunset Picnic Plaza to mark the completion of significant improvements at Huntington Beach. Along with the restoration of the historic Water Tower and a new ADA-compliant restroom and changing facility, The Noshery is part of the Huntington Reservation Enhancement Project.

“We’re thrilled to complete the Huntington Reservation Enhancement Project and make one of our oldest park reservations more accessible and welcoming in time for Memorial Day weekend,” said Cleveland Metroparks CEO Brian M. Zimmerman. “The Noshery and Sunset Picnic Plaza pay homage to Huntington Reservation’s historic charm and offer new ways for guests to take in spectacular views of Lake Erie.”

The new version of The Noshery still has the same historic feel as the original building many decades ago. The new concession building offers freshly made soft braided pretzel, nosh salad, crispy walleye sandwich, and Honey Hut ice cream. At the same time, the Sunset Picnic Plaza will offer its visitors Cocktails and craft beer from several Ohio-based breweries. The Noshery officially opens this Friday, May 28, in time for the Memorial Day weekend from noon to 9 p.m. Summer hours will be Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

Ground Works Land Design, the award-winning Westlake-based design firm, was the constructor of the Sunset Picnic Plaza. The 4,200-square-foot Sunset Picnic Plaza is a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset or an evening stroll with food and beverage from The Noshery.

The $1.6 million Huntington Reservation Enhancement Project came to fruition thanks to the generous support of residents and communities and the Emerald Necklace Endowment Fund.
