Amarillo is the Spanish name for "yellow" and the city is known as "The Yellow Flower of Texas" as well.

The city is the fourteenth most populous city in the state of Texas by being home to nearly 270,000 residents. America's only one nuclear weapon assembly and disassembly facility, Pantex is also situated in Amarillo which is also caused for the city's nickname 'Bomb City'.

As a beautiful city with several attractive landmarks, this has provided great locations for many movies. Here are a few of them.

Bomb City (2017)

Crime drama story based on true life events, directed by Jameson Brooks and co-written by Jameson Brooks and Sheldon R. Chick. The movie’s name is based on the city's nickname and also Bomb City owns thirteen awards.

Brian Deneke and his friends, a group of teenagers who are huge fans and followers of punk music and its subculture. This group and the jocks from a local high school football team, Tascosa rebels fight continuously in the city. They start a huge fight on a night in a parking lot in Amarillo, which caused Brian Deneke's death due to vehicular manslaughter.

As the movie is based on Brian's true story, it shows the criminal case and investigations at the end where surprisingly the case is closed as the verdict of not guilty even when Brian's death was an obvious murder.

The movie talks about how questionable and condemnable is American justice at times.
