Cleveland Botanical Garden is a green area located at 11030 East Blvd Cleveland, OH 44106. It is a 10 acres area that once was the original Cleveland Zoo inside the University Circle neighborhood, consisting of indoor and outdoor gardens.

1. Return of The Butterflies
This first exhibit is a glasshouse with a Costa Rica-mimic biome that serves as a house to more than 600 colorful butterflies.
The colorful beauty of the butterflies will take the visitors' breath away. There are about ten species of butterflies you will see in the glasshouse; Eliconius melpomene (Postman), Caligo eurilochus (Giant Owl), Dryas julia (Julia Longwing), Heliconius charitonius (Zebra Longwing), Siproeta epaphus (Rusty-Tipped Page), Catonephele orites (Grecian Shoemaker), Morpho peleides (Blue Morpho), Siproeta stelenes (Malachite)
2. Madagascar Glasshouse
You can see and admire the beauty of the exotic Madagascar biome without leaving Cleveland in this spot.
This enormous glasshouse contains various plants and animals from one of the most exceptional greenery in the world. The glasshouse displays rare plants such as Madagascar Jasmine Stephanotis Floribunda and a large collection of Baobab trees. In addition, there are exotic animals, too, such as yellow-throated plated lizards and three radiated tortoises.
3. Japanese Garden
Come and feel the peaceful zen energy of the Japanese Garden by walking in between the classic composition of rocks, evergreen azaleas, and weathered beach stones.
This garden was designed by David Slawson, who trained directly from a native Japanese garden master Kinsaku Nakane. Inside, you'll find a manicured tea garden, Japanese maples, and Asiatic lilies, making it one of the Garden's most popular destinations for anyone who seeks spiritual sustenance.
4. Herb Garden
If you're a herb lover, you'll enjoy the fact that Cleveland Botanical Garden provides a garden space filled with 3,500 herbs and plants.
You can visit some garden sections, such as the fragrance garden, the trial and cutting garden, the dye garden, the culinary garden, the medical garden, and the edible flower garden. You can immerse yourself in the early 1800 era ambiance by looking at its collection of roses and an English-made sundial, or take a walk around the place to breathe in the fresh air.
5. Hershey Children's Garden
This one spot is a perfect place for your children or nephews, particularly if you want them to be away from their gadgets for a while.
Let them explore the floras and faunas inside this garden, observe honeybees, look for fish, frogs, and turtles inside the pond, or just let out their creativity on the sandbox.
