Dreaming big comes from people that are willing to be consistent and put in the work. It is beautiful to see people wanting to fix up their city and turn it into something memorable.
We often forget that the world is our playground and that we have unlimited opportunities to create whatever we want and change a negative into a positive.
Especially in times like this people are losing hope in what their careers once were or what their dreams started out as.
For one Detroit woman, she saw something more in her dream, this woman goes by the name of Toni Glenn.
Every time she sees the old civic center she had the idea of changing it into a change station and resource center to help the community. Toni Glenn sees the potential of this building and wants to increase change for the east side of Detroit.
In an article from Fox 2 News called "Detroit woman wants to transform old Civic Theater to a Change Station on the east side" by Ingrid Kelley and David Komer, they were able to speak with Toni Glenn regarding her vision.
In the article Toni stated "We want to have a shelter or room and board for people who are running on hard times," she said. "We're looking to have daycare for single moms or dads, counseling, drug addiction counseling, and also job placement."
Her husband Tony Glenn continued
"I think that's my wife's biggest thing we have to clean it up no one is going to fix it for us," said Tory Glenn, her husband.
It is important to think outside the box when it comes to your future but when you think about more than yourself that is a beautiful investment.
