With Philadelphia residents getting the COVID vaccine, you are probably wondering where can you receive the vaccine. Several locations in Philadelphia offer the vaccine. There are no costs for you to receive it.

Adults in Philadelphia age 16 and over can receive the COVID vaccine. If you want to schedule an appointment at Penn medicine, you can call their COVID-19 scheduling hotline at 267-758-4902. They answer calls between 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Walk-in appointments are available at some locations.

Due to the requirements, the University of Pennsylvania only provides the vaccine for residents who live in the Philadelphia area. So their Philadelphia location only provides the vaccine for residents of Philadelphia. The same goes for locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In New Jersey, residents, students, and those who work in the state can check the Princeton website.

FEMA is moving on from COVID vaccinations

If you were planning to get the COVID vaccine at the Pennslyvania Convention Center or Esperanza, you may have a harder time getting seen. The two locations with FEMA support delivered their last COVID-19 vaccinations.

The locations were federally funded and now they are moving on to prepare for hurricane season. FEMA staff and personnel will no longer focus on the CVOID-19 vaccine. Over 200 staffers, military personnel, and volunteers are moving on.

"You are now able to move on to your next assignment. That, to me, is a sign of hope, that the city of Philadelphia is coming back," said City Representative Sheila Hess.

The Philadelphia area has vaccinated 44 percent of eligible people.

"Both the FEMA run sites administered 350,000 vaccines," said FEMA Region 3 Acting Administrator Janice Barlow.

The vaccination site was seeing 6,000 people a day for the vaccine.
