On a clear night, there's no place like Los Angeles. With sunset in one direction and lights opposite, this city has truly incredible views.

Many Angelenos have experienced the wondrous feeling of finding street parking in a big city, only to discover that it's next to an incredible view.

Still, people rarely find out how to locate the best parking spots to enjoy the city's most amazing views at night.

The observatory, Hollywood sign, Griffith Park Observatory, and restaurants and clubs are all very cool. However, there are other places you can go to see a view of Los Angeles while you're driving.

Be prepared, though; these aren't parking spots, just places where people can stop so they can enjoy the views and take the best photograph of LA.

Los Angeles, get ready for your close-up

If you have just moved to Los Angeles, and you're wondering, "How can I find the best parking spots with views of LA?" Well, I've got good news and bad news.

The good news is there are tons of great parking spots with views of Los Angeles.

The bad news is that most people know about them because there are so many great ones (especially after some recent additions).

I have heard people talk about parking on a particular street and looking out at the view. Still, their experiences are fleeting because someone always takes those spots. Or they are driving and have forgotten the exact place.

Everyone has their favorite neighborhood spot, but do you know the best place to park at night to enjoy the city's lights? Well, here are only a few of our favorite LA spots for "park and view." Got your camera ready?

1. Snap DTLA on a clear day

Let's start with a classic LA photo. Kenneth Hahn State Park is the place to go for all the classic shots of Downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign.

(If you have a telephoto lens for your camera and go in winter, you will have the city in front of snowy mountains. Perhaps better not on an overcast day like this.)

2. Dodger Stadium

An insider's tip: the view from the Dodger Stadium parking lot. If you're going to the souvenir store, the parking lot is free on open days. Look southwards; it is perfect for long lenses to capture downtown cityscapes.

3. Tear Drop Park

Everett Triangle Park (aka Tear Drop Park) is located off Sunset, close to Angelino Heights. When you drive up and look at the city center (especially at night), you can easily see the panoramic view of countless television ads that you have ever seen.

4. Debs Pond

At the Ernest E Debs Regional Park, you will find a window of bush near Debs pond that looks out over Downtown Los Angeles. If you are taking a professional camera, don't forget the long-focus lens telephoto lens for the best shots.

In Elysian Park near Dodger Stadium, try Angel's Point, which is popular with hikers. You will find the stadium at the front and the DTLA skyline on the horizon to create amazing pictures.

Up in the clouds, you will also find a "secret swing" where you can have a moment of peace while looking over the beautiful craziness of the City of Angels.

These are the best spots in Los Angeles to go for a great view of the city. These spots have the most beautiful views at night. Day or night, you can find your very own view to enjoy the LA skyline.
