Getting the opportunity to help a company brand its business, products, and services is one of the most freeing career paths out there.

You get to use your creative energy to build a brand and attract new consumers and members. For the past nine months, I’ve been serving on the marketing team for Haikhuu Trading.

This involves a lot of interaction on Facebook, Discord, and Instagram.

In the beginning, I made a lot of mistakes, but have found my footing in bringing in new clients and retaining them.

1. Be interactive on social media accounts and get to know the community.

People don’t want to blindly follow someone into their business randomly. You must establish your credibility by building rapport with potential clients and knowing how to socialize digitally.

People are always wary when it comes to spending money. People want to make sure the product you offer will actually benefit them.

When your potential clients recognize your name and are warmed up to you, it’s much more natural when going in for your pitch.

2. Schedule content, more content, and then some more content.

You can never have too much content for your company’s brand. There is an infinite number of ways to tailor your content to your audience and keep them happy.

The more value I give to the community, the more appreciation and determination they feel to stick with the program. Just recently, I went into my subscriptions and cancelled about $200 worth of subscriptions because they simply did not meet my needs.

When acquiring a client, think about their needs, their wants, and anything that may hold them back from working with you. Experiment often with social media. See what works. See what to stay away from.

3. Go online for yourself and experience being a client and learn from other businesses.

There are so many great companies in your field (most likely) and there’s no reason you can’t be a consumer who is looking for value.

Where did they fall short? Where did they meet the mark? How did they exceed your expectations? Were you surprised or did you get everything you wanted in return and then some?

In the same way that an entrepreneur is innovative, a marketer must always be a student of the game and develop new customer acquisition strategies.

Takeaway

It’s a great time for the internet. There are tons of ways to create content, add new clients, and retain them.

The biggest thing you have to do is maintain the integrity of your services and the product you’re pitching. Don’t lie and tell them something they won’t receive.

Be honest, open, and upfront when it comes to marketing. One bad press release can erase your entire rapport with current and prospective customers.

Treat people right and learn how to appeal to your audience. Then and only then, will your marketing take off in the way you intended.
