Since the pandemic has hit keeping our families safe has been a top priority and people have their own opinion about what is right and what is wrong.
Some families believe that the vaccine is the number one way to protect their loved ones and others believe that social distancing will do the job.
Everyone has their own preference and lifestyle, there have been many topics on the pros and cons of taking the vaccine but, at the end of the day, everyone is in charge of their own lives.
The battle of deciding to get the vaccine or to not get the vaccine hit home for this Lincoln Park family. In an article from Fox 2 News called "Father of 5 dies from COVID-19 after refusing to get vaccine" by Taryn Asher and David Komer stated
"Antwone and Hollie learned they tested positive for COVID-19.
Hollie stated "I know that it was like a week into us having Covid he started feeling worse and I started feeling better," she said.
The 39-year-old, who had no underlying conditions felt so sick, Hollie rushed him to the hospital. That would be the last conversation she would have with the love of her life."
Just prior, to Antwone and Hollie becoming sick they were having a discussion about whether they should get the vaccine.
Hollie and Antwone shared three children together ages 13, 3, and 1 it will be an adjustment to go on with life without Antwone.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, in addition, the company that Antwone worked at has set up a GoFundMe to help support the family.
