As Covid-19 restrictions ease and entertainment and sporting events resume across the United States, fans, artists, and staff want to know that they are safe when attending sporting events, live concerts, and public assemblies. Sharecare VERIFIED™ for stadiums, arenas, and other public assembly venues is tailored to help restore fan confidence and mitigate risks associated with Covid-19 and other public health events. Sharecare VERIFIED™ aligns with the unique attributes of large-capacity venues including people movement, player or performer protocols, and up-to-date public health recommendations and protocols.
Atlanta, Georgia’s State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks, became the first venue to achieve the Sharecare VERIFIED™ designation in January 2021.
To achieve the health security verification from Sharecare, venue operators must undergo a multi-step process that includes self-attesting to more than 140 expert-validated standards across more than 600 venue checkpoints. These include building preparation, the fan journey, sanitization and cleaning, air circulation, and more. This process ensures the right public health protocols are in place throughout the venue. The entire process is easily navigated through a chatbot-enabled screener, which also updates as professional league requirements, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, and other relevant guidelines evolve.
After the operations team completes the verification and self-attestation portion, a Forbes Travel Guide-certified hospitality inspector reviews compliance across various health security checkpoints within the venue. Forbes Travel Guide also assesses and recommends opportunities to drive positive fan engagement, providing additional value to venue management teams.
The enhanced version of the Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED™ platform was also refined and tested with two of the National Hockey League’s newest arenas – Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, the future home of the Seattle Kraken and the Seattle Storm; and UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, the future home of the New York Islanders. Both venues are under construction and have adopted the enhanced Sharecare VERIFIED™ solution to support their facility operations.
