You will be glad to know that such a place exists. Bronson Canyon is a natural landscape that has hosted dozens of famous filming, hiding many mysteries among its rugged surroundings.

Bronson Canyon is located southwest of Griffith Park, very close to the north end of Canyon Drive, and if you come from Hollywood, it is very easy to get there. This is a great place to hike and get away from busy downtown LA; the remote setting and getaway of Bronson Canyon add a special touch to this walk. This unique geographical condition has made it a privileged area for filmmakers. Dozens of famous movies and series have been shot at this location.

Do you remember the 1966 "Batman" series? In this same cave, the iconic scenes of the Batmobile were filmed shooting out of the entrance at full speed! "The Scorpion King," "Cabin Fever," "Flash Gordon," "White Zombie," "The A-Team," and "Bonanza" were some of the series and movies that were partially filmed in this magnificent location.

But not everything is history and glamor. Bronson Canyon is also known for its aura of mystery and producing a "feel watched" effect on visitors who hike here. There are hundreds of visitor stories that tell how just setting foot in Bronson Canyon; they begin to feel as if someone is observing them.

Not surprisingly, the remote and rugged landscape of Bronson Canyon is more than enough to make anyone uneasy. But what is hidden among this mysterious sector of Griffith Park? Some say that if you visit Bronson Canyon at night, you can hear the voice of someone complaining; visitors theorize that it is a member of a film crew who lost his life there.

Either way, Bronson Canyon is still a fascinating and enjoyable place to visit with your family or for a Sunday hike. Definitely one of the wonderful places in our beautiful city.
