Summer is almost here and chances are that you’re looking for some fun activities to keep your children busy while school is out. The AMC Summer Movie Camp offers kid-friendly movies plus a KidsPack every Wednesday for just $4 (+tax). Check out the schedule for upcoming flicks. AMC theaters around the Des Moines metro include Wynnsong, Cobblestone and Southridge theaters.
For older kids and adults, another way to save on movies is with the AMC A-List. An affordable deal if you see more than 2 movies a month, you’ll be able to see three movies a week including new releases. B&B Theaters Kids Summer Series

Carmike Summer Movie Clubhouse
The Carmike Summer Movie Clubhouse offers 8 weeks of summer movie fun for the low price of $1.50 per person per show. Movie fans can also save on concessions with $1 OFF deals on kids’ snack packs, large popcorn & large drinks during Summer Movie Clubhouse showtimes. Upcoming films include Trolls World Tour, Angry Birds 2, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Minions and more. Cinemark locations around the Des Moines metro include the Cinemark Altoona and XD and the Century 20 Jordan Creek and XD theaters.
Fridley Theaters Discount Summer Matinees
Fridley Theaters also offer discounted summer movies for children and their families on Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August this summer at 11:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is $2 per person and upcoming films include Sonic the Hedgehog, The War With Grandpa, Wonder Park, Trolls World Tour and more. Participating locations in the Des Moines area include the Waukee - The Palms Theatres & IMAX and the Pleasant Hill - Copper Creek 9 Theater.
