I have not been to Denver, but I am planning to go there because it has so much to see.
In 2019, Denver was called one of the best tourist destinations and an ideal place for residence in the United States. In an analysis of the 125 coolest places of the country, Denver landed second behind Austin, Texas. According to the U.S. News & World Report, there were so many things that helped determine its ranking among the top cities of the United States. Some of the main reasons were job growth, fitness, and health, quality of life, and livability scores.
It makes me feel that Denver is a safe, peaceful, and nice place to be in. I have not yet gone there but given its overall reputation and good ranking, I have planned to visit there with my family and friends. If you also want to pay a visit to Denver, you should check the following places.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater
You can begin your Denver journey by enjoying live music at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. It is fifteen miles away from the center of the city but is worth the commute. If you don’t own a car or have transportation problems, you may go there via a shuttle. Let me tell you that Red Rocks is not just a live music venue, but a city park where there is so much beauty and peace of mind. This city park is owned by Denver, and the name has come from the striking red sandstone rock formations present along the trails. These trails are forming the walls of the outdoor amphitheater.
Denver Botanic Gardens
In my opinion, one of the best things to do or see in Denver is the Denver Botanic Gardens. These were laid out in the 1950s and are among the biggest and most popular botanical gardens of the country. They are spread in an area of 23 acres and can be found next to Cheesman Park. If you go there, you will observe that the gardens have so many native plants and sustainable practices have been adopted to make the area look beautiful. More than 42 individual gardens are present here, so it may not be possible for any of us to visit all of them in a day. Some of these gardens have been laid out in natural landscapes, while others are formal gardens. You will find the Japanese Garden and Marnie's Pavilion with ferns, waterfalls, and orchids.
Denver Art Museum
Last but not least, I would like to go to Denver Art Museum. You could also do the same. What makes this museum the best choice is its vast collection of Asian, Oceanic, African, American, and Indian works. You will also find various Spanish colonial and pre-Columbian works. If you are there, I suggest you explore the remodeled Native American galleries that contain a wide range of cultural and tribal works of the United States and Canada. Pieces spanning 2000 years of history have been placed here.
