If you live in Spokane, you have seen a Wake Up Call Coffee Shop before.

The red phone booth, modern-looking black, and brick buildings sit upon some of the most heavily trafficked streets of Spokane. There is always a line and people heading inside to get a coffee and/or a treat.

Yet, I have always struggled with the idea of going to this coffee shop.

Why? Maybe because it always seems like a chain. You know, like Starbucks or Dutch Brothers. Not that I have a problem with them, but you can find them all over the place around the United States. I personally love to go to local coffee shops that have their own flavor.

Then I learned something surprising:

Wake Up Call Coffee is a Locally Owned Business

They have 10 stores around the Inland Northwest. They reach across Spokane, Liberty Lake, and into Coeur D'Alene. And, I found out this little tidbit from this 2019 article about the origins of Wake Up Call Coffee:

“In 2004, there were not a lot of coffee shops that served a high quality light roasted coffee,” he said. “Our idea was to bring something to the market that was super high quality and consistent and different than everybody else, so that’s what we did.” - Christopher Arkoosh

As I learned more about these coffee stands, I decided it was time to go and grab some coffee and see what they have to offer. And well, to my surprise, they hit the nail on the hand with high-quality coffee and consistency.

In my pursuit to get to know this company better, I have found that coffee is consistent across their different shops. I must admit, I have grabbed coffee at more than half their locations just to be sure. So, they have made their goal a reality.

The Details On Wake Up Call Coffee

Now, with 10 different locations, it is hard to give a general description of details. However, this page can give you better details with hours per the location closest to you. However, I will try to give you the best idea through this article too.

Locations

Again, there are ten locations across Spokane, Liberty Lake, and Coeur D'Alene. However, you will likely know where one of their locations is near you because they stick out a little. The two locations I have been to most frequently are the Sullivan and Pines locations as they used to be on my drive to work.

Hours

The store hours are dependant on the location, though general hours are 4:30 AM to 7:00 PM Sunday to Saturday. Now, that is a general time frame because some stores are open later in the morning and close up earlier in the day. However, these are generally the regular hours.

Menu

The menu for these shops is extensive. They have a ton of different drinks and they have a lot of different food items as well. So, to help you see their menu before you head in to try a drink or something to eat on your way to work, check out the full menu here.

Final Thoughts

In my pursuit to highlight locally owned businesses, I am quite surprised to learn that Wake Up Call Coffee is one of those businesses and they have accomplished many of their goals. I look forward to the opening of more locations around town.

Hopefully, they will add another one or two up on the South Hill.

Either way, I would suggest that you stop by Wake Up Call Coffee, grab a treat, some coffee, and enjoy the service of this great local group of coffee shops. It will be worth your time, and you might just have a new favorite coffee shop to go to around town.
