The rising vaccination rates in America are slowly helping us to return to normal.

As of 5/19/21

People Vaccinated

At least one dose:

Fully Vaccinated:

With nearly half the country vaccinated, the CDC has slowly started to change its recommendations. Most recently, they admitted that fully vaccinated people don’t need to mask in most situations

Travel

People have been stuck at home for far too long. Many are ready to start traveling again. Rising vaccination rates and new CDC guidance make that fell more possible than before.

People will have many options for summer travel. One of America’s most popular vacation destinations, Las Vegas, will be ready for those travelers.

 June 1st

The world-famous Las Vegas Strip will be fully reopened for vaccinated people on June 1st. The same goes for the surrounding businesses.

Clark County originally planned to tie business reopening to vaccination rates. However, with the new CDC guidelines, they decided to reopen faster.

Las Vegas has been partially reopened for a while now. The strip was still pretty busy. But, nothing compared to a typical year.

Many people will be happy to see Las Vegas in all its glory fully reopened for the summer rush of travelers.

My Thoughts

Some people won’t feel comfortable traveling this summer. That is perfectly ok. Everyone should go at their own pace.

If you are ready to travel, have fun. Be safe, airlines will probably still require masks, but most other things will feel normal.

After over a year of dealing with Covid, we all deserve to live a little.
