(THE BRONX, N.Y.) A man assaulted and robbed a woman, who he met online, in the Bronx Sunday, according to the New York City Police Department, per PIX 11.

The 58-year-old woman spoke to officials, saying that on May 5 the two met inside a home close to the intersection of East 151 Street and Courtlandt Avenue in the Melrose section of the borough.

Upon his arrival, the man solicited sex, which the woman turned down. The man proceeded to hit her multiple times across the face and stole her cellphone, officials said.

According to the NYPD, the woman received treatment for her injuries at a local hospital.
