(PHILADELPHIA) The Eagles signed four-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Ryan Kerrigan to a one-year contract, according to ESPN.

Kerrigan is the Washington Football Team’s all-time leader in sacks with 95.5. The 32-year-old only started one game last season but still had 5.5 sacks and five tackles for loss.

The Eagles are hoping that Kerrigan can regain his form as a menace for NFC East offensive lines to deal with. They know better than anybody, since Kerrigan racked up 13.5 sacks against the Eagles over his ten-year career in Washington.

"I know I probably wasn't your favorite player over the past decade, but Eagles fans I'm fired up to be playing for you guys now! LFG!!!" Kerrigan wrote on social media.

Eagles fans will be happy to hear Kerrigan has also recorded 13.5 sacks against the Dallas Cowboys.

"They've got Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett, guys who are entrenched and are bona fide studs in this league," Kerrigan said of the Eagles. "But I know they rotate their guys a lot. Whether I'm a starter or a reserve, I still imagine I'll get a lot of playing time. That was a big thing for me."

The Eagles finished third in the league last year with 49 sacks.
