(THE BRONX, N.Y.) Authorities in the Bronx are investigating two non-fatal shootings that took place between Sunday and Monday, according to AM New York.

Law enforcement sources reported a 31-year-old man was struck with bullets to his torso and leg during a robbery outside of an apartment building at 1534 Selwyn Ave. in Claremont around 10:33 p.m. Sunday.

The New York City Police Department said two thieves neared the suspect at the building and called for his property, as one of them brandished a gun.

At the sight of the firearm, the victim and the two robbers entered a physical dispute, per AMNY. Officers said the gunman shot the victim during the scuffle and both robbers bolted from the scene without a trace.

The victim was taken by private means to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital due to his injuries, which were non-life-threatening.

A few hours later on Monday, a man opened fire and struck a 16-year-old boy outside an apartment building at 2414 Belmont Ave. in Belmont around 1:25 a.m.

Officials said the victim spoke to detectives, saying he was walking outside the building when he heard the gunshots, felt pain and noticed he was shot in the arm.

Emergency medical services transported the boy to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment. Police managed to collect multiple shell casings at the scene.

The NYPD has made no arrests in either shooting.

Anyone with information regarding these shootings can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). You can also submit tips online at nypdcrimestoppers.com, or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
