(THE BRONX, N.Y.) While patrolling in the Bronx, two New York City Police Department officers sustained injuries when their vehicle slammed into a pole in the Bronx on Sunday, according to ABC 7 NY.
Locals recorded the aftermath of the incident on the safety app Citizen, which showed the police SUV with severe front-end damage at the corner of Bruckner Boulevard and Hunts Point Avenue.
The accident took place at 9 p.m., per ABC 7.
The two police officers suffered injuries as a result of the crash and were transported to Lincoln Hospital.
Police have not released an update on the condition of the officers and the cause of the crash is still unknown.
