When it comes to coffee stands, few of them get it right.

Have you ever driven down 57th on the South Hill and noticed how White Dog Coffee always has four or more cars backed up in line for both windows. I know I have. While this should be a sign that the coffee is good, I refused to stop and sit in that line for a cup of coffee.

Well, that was until my wife decided to do it.

Now, we make sure to add in some "line time" before we go anywhere. It seems hard to believe. But after having a couple of cups of coffee there, we stop by pretty often. Like many people on the South Hill, we have joined the ranks of cars that will sit and wait for coffee.

Here's why.

The Details On White Dog Coffee

I get it. Waiting in line for a coffee stand doesn't always make sense. After all, a coffee stand is also about getting your coffee and moving on to where you need to go. However, this one is worth the wait. Not only because the coffee is good, but because the people are great too.

This coffee stand has been around since 2015 and their story is posted right on the coffee stand. It helps the wait, reading all about them, their passion for coffee, and why the stand is called what it is. So, I'm going to leave you hanging so you will have to stop by and read it.

Here are a few more details:

Location

I had mentioned earlier that they are located off of 57th on the South Hill. They are found more specifically found in the South Spokane YMCA parking lot. There are two driveway entrances for you to go in and out, and lines tend to form going along the parking lot for the shop.

Hours

Their hours are great during the day or on the way to work. You can swing by Monday - Friday from 5 AM to 6 PM, Saturday from 6 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 6 AM to 5 PM. So, you can catch them on the way to work, school, church, or on the way home if it is going to be a long night.

Menu

Their menu is vast. They have coffee, Bubble Tea, Smoothies (regular and with protein powder), along with locally made baked goods and treats. Their coffee menu has everything hot and cold imaginable too. All in all, it is one of the most extensive menus I have seen for a coffee stand.

Final Thoughts

You might want to bring a book, but it will be worth your time.

The coffee, service, and convenience you receive if you live on the South Hill is well worth the wait. And, it is always great to support our local small businesses. Next time you go to drive by the stand, I would highly encourage you to stop by and get an iced coffee and a treat.
