Two other suspects are being held without bond.
It seems even a McDonald’s drive-thru on the west side of Chicago is not safe from the violence that is still plaguing areas of the Windy City like the last plague visited upon Egypt in the Old Testament when the streets ran red with the blood of children.
It was here, going through the drive-thru to get a meal, that seven-year-old Jaslyn Adams was murdered and her father Jontae was wounded by gunfire by two men in a silver Audi.
The first man to be arrested was 21-year-old Demond Goudey. Goudey was out on bond in four separate felony cases the day of the shooting. Goudey admitted to shooting twice into the car.
The second suspect is 18-year-old Marion Lewis. Lewis has 18 separate charges levied against him in addition to the murder charges. These include three counts of attempted murder and aggravated assault of a police officer. Lewis was shot several times by pursuing officers as he tried to flee arrest. He is expected to survive his wounds.
The third suspect, 20-year-old Devontay Davoucci Anderson, is on the lam. He was charged April 26 in Cook County Circuit Court with first-degree murder. Three days later, a state warrant and a federal warrant were issued after Anderson was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Anderson is 5’5” to 5’6”, 150 to 160 pounds, he has a small tattoo of a few letters in an ornate script above his right eyebrow. He has ties to Indiana and Florida. Investigators are looking at Facebook account activity associated with Anderson, which they say has been traced to Miami.
The FBI asks that anyone with information contact their local FBI office.
