The Hollywood Bowl is officially open again! First, with concerts for First-Responders in May, and then kicking off for the rest of us starting the weekend of July 4th! Here's what to eat at the Hollywood Bowl once you're there.

The Culinary Program

James Beard Award-Winning chef Suzanne Goin and restauranteur Caroline Styne (A.O.C.) are curating the entire food show once again. So that means delicious California ingredients, Charcuterie, and Spanish Fried Chicken.

Supper in your Box Seats

Available to order for box-seat ticket holders, you can place the order as late as 4 p.m. the day before and have the food delivered right to you. The new post-pandemic safety protocol will require vaccinations as the box seats are not six feet apart.

Pre-Order Picnic Boxes

These meals are above and beyond, featuring full meals like BBQ in a Box for Two with Chicken, Ribs, Brisket, four Sides, and a Shortcake Dessert ($120). Personally, I think this feeds a lot more than two people!

If you want a little less food but not less fancy, choose a Three-Course Menu with Salad, Entree, and Dessert ($59-$69), and if you want to make it more affordable, have one person just choose an a la carte entree and split the salad and dessert ($26+).

Items must be pre-ordered by 4 p.m. the night before to then be picked up at the marketplace.

Mobile Ordering at the Concert

A super cool feature this season is Mobile Ordering, where you can text or scan a QR code to get your eats for your seats! This minimizes time spent in line and unnecessary crowding. Choose between Popcorn; Pizza & BBQ: Banh Mi & Hot Dogs; or Street Tacos. Pick-up is at the street food locations throughout the bowl. The Popcorn sizes rival a night at the movies, and you can also upgrade to a Combo with candy and soda ($5.50-$19.50). The Pizzas are artisanal style Margherita and Pepperoni and round off at 8.5 inches ($15.50). For Banh Mi's, choose between Veggie and Pork and an array of pickled seasonings ($15.50). Hot Dogs are pretty standard Hebrew National brand, so unless you love hot dogs, save your cravings for the baseball stadium ($7.50). Lastly, the street taco menu is pretty extensive, with Chicken, Carne, and Cauliflower flavors coming in trios or duos but unfortunately no mix and match ($11.50+). You can also get Chips ($4.00) and Margaritas to top off your experience ($16).

And what about the rest of your Drinks? You can also have a Glass of Wine ready for you ($11); Soda ($5.50), or Bottled Water ($5). 24 oz Beers are also available ($15).

Ann's Wine Bar

Speaking of drinks, there is a wine bar with a beautiful view of the bowl, featuring unique wines and small plates. Space is limited, though, so you have to make a reservation for this one.

Your Own Food

Can't decide what to eat at the Hollywood Bowl? How about your own food! There are 14 different picnic areas that open hours before the concert starts, and you can even eat in your own seats! Grab a cheap ticket and sit way in the back, and you might even be able to take advantage of eating on top of other people's seats :)

Whatever you choose, just be sure to go out and celebrate our rediscovered American freedom this summer: enjoying a concert and a great meal with strangers in this beautiful city of Los Angeles.
